Official Discovery and Findings Report
Northern Ice Cap Landmass

Location :: North of Salmantic, Old Babylon
Size :: 22% of Atlantian Oceania
Temperatures :: - 23*C

VOIA Scientists have discovered that the Northern Ice Cap relative to Atlantian Oceania is in fact, not just a giant mass of frozen water, however, is a Giant Landmass with years of cold weather and iced water covering it. The Discovery was made during a routine levels check at the VOIA facility in the South Eastern portion of the Icecap. The potential for scientific research is now greater than ever in the frozen region, as the possibility of learning about life on the landmass prior to it's being iced over arrives.

The Federation is preparing an expedition team of our most prestigious geologists, archaeologists, biologists, and botanists. A security detachement is of course accompanying them as well as an auxillary cohorte for construction of an outpost.

We invite all other nations to do the same to more quickly unearth any secrets hidden in this landmass.

The Lord-Protector has had his Lord-Cartographer executed, as he was completely unaware of the landmass, frozen or otherwise, to the north.

Oh dear berries - all on top of each other, the news of the discovered icemass escaped down to my people.
You must know that we have fled our own ice planet in order to come here, and some of our (mostly older) people are well, sorta homesick to the cold and are now protesting in my Temple. I like my peace and quiet, so therefor i would like to send out an small expedition team to see if we, with all our expertise, can make it a profitable land...
If not Above, then we'll go Below; we've done that before.
We might find possibilities to home our elderly or a place where the soil is suited to become underground farmland, besides discovering whatever we might find at the spot. You can expect our team to leave in the next three days.

Dear regards,
Queen Masira of Balaal, ~o~

The Personal Journal of Proffesor A.J.Jenkin.

According to the current planetairy timesystem: 20-9-2004

"We are ready to depart once again for a mission leading us to insecurity.

Even if i am truely amazed by this islands upperland nature and does it feel good to finally feel the sun we only know from legends on my old worn skin, when the news of the dicovered ice mass reached our people heavy protests began to why we settled on a island so different from our homeplanet.
I can understand the longing...we've been traveling for many months now; our homeplanet being destroyed by our worst enemy and yet so trusted friend; the cold. Our people seem to acclimatise badly to the new conditions; not being able to grasp why we had to leave everything behind (the Gods must hate us-feeling); not overcoming the lose of their friends and family, months of being cramped up with the miljons of us in little damp space ships; now wishing for a situation similar to what they have known for generations...
Our Queen has had to make many straining decisions since Humesi annouced itself, many people doubted the findings of our weather research...unconvinced of a national disaster heading toward us. But our Queen pushed the evacuation forth; saying it was Divine Fate...giving us the free choice to stay or go. I'm glad i went, the unbelievers got proven wrong by staying and died a most terrible death trying to keep what we couldn't save.
The Gods have proven to be mercyful by showing us this region, being so friendly welcomed by it's nations. Blue Berries for them! I only hope we don't push their borders...and, by mistake, incite war...our people are not ready for new casulties.
My hopes for this expedition are that we will find a place similar to home-cold-home and that we can settle there to raise our new Queendom into nikkitan and find our true potential as a peaceloving nation. We are prepared, after commissioning a 13 headed team of our most renouned specialists, we unloaded our sailships, technology and food reserves...packed up enough for a six month stay, having enough recourses to build a small town on the coast; if and when we find a suited location. We will depart at 13.00 this afternoon...expecting a sea-yourney that'll atleast take 2 days. May the Berries help us in finding our true destiny."

Proffesor A.J.Jenkin; First officer of Balaal and overal head of regional expeditions.
