The cargo ship St Cloister was sunk yesterday only minutes after leaving the harbour of Osteria New Town. The ship was carrying automotive parts and sheet iron bound for Sarzonia. Of the 101 crew, 71 safely found shore in Krytenia, while the bodies of a further six washed up on the coast of Sarzonia. Twenty-four people, including the Captain, James Moreno, have not yet been located.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the action, however the "Beginning of the Liberation of the Monteste Region" terrorist faction (BeLMoRe) are believed to be the culprits. BeLMoRe are angry at the recent annexation of Monteste by Krytenia, including the port town of Osteria.

The six dead sailors will be returned to Avid-Diord Airport on Thursday, with the funerals next weekend.

In a statement released just outside the small Presidential cabin in the Woodstock suburb of Saugerties, President Mike Sarzo condemned the terrorist attack against the St Cloister and called upon "the country's best anti-terrorism minds" to "get to the bottom" of the attack.

"This is a terrible tragedy to befall a ship undergoing a peaceful mission," Sarzo said. "We condemn the attack and we intend to work with the authorities in Krytenia to bring the perpetrators to justice."

Sarzo said the marina police in Nicksia are "already on the case," and have begun their investigation.

St Cloister Tragedy - Three Arrested

Three BeLMoRe activists have been arrested in the southern city of Dowenburgh in connection to last week's terrorist attack.

The swoop was made by Krytenian anti-terrorist police yesterday morning, mere minutes after BeLMoRe leader Paul Alaine released a webcast publically admitting that his operatives sabotaged the St Cloister.

The three men were hiding out in a bedsit in the impoverished area of Nolders Wood in the city, and were believed to be attempting to recruit some of the area's more delinquent members.

Krytenian and Sarzonian police are studying the tapes to work out Alaine's current location, believed to be somewhere in the wastelands north of Monteste.
