Lamoni drops sanctions on Xile
Nephi Times (Nephi, Lamoni)

In a move meant to lower regional tensions, the Free Republic of Lamoni ended the sanctions that it imposed on Xile after the AOlympic games massacre.

A government official was quoted as saying, "The sanctions no longer serve any real purpose. Xile knows that we most assuredly did not like their killing of our athletes. We hope that this will lower regional tensions, and encourage our Ainorpispan allies to do the same."

What will Xile make of this? We're not sure.

We return once again to an underground bunker somewhere under the decaying metropolis of Remires, where General Kori Davis is plotting his next move. Suddenly, a messenger, dressed in camouflage, rushes in from an adjoining room.

"General Davis, we've just intercepted this communication."

"Thank you, Corporal Gunes." The General's look transforms from concentration to incredulity as he reads the message.

"Lamoni are WHAT?!? If you want anything done, you have to do it yourself. Someone get me Major Owusu. We need to do some serious planning."

"What do you have in mind, sir?"

"Suffice to say...President Lauir just became No.1 with a bullet."

The general stormed out of the room into the small study-like cubby hole at the back of what was in effect a large basement. Father, I shall avenge you, he mused as he looked at the photograph, dog-eared and tattered, your murderer shall soon feel the icy cold breath ot the Reaper! He afforded himselfe a wry smile and a chuckle, and set about his masterplan once more.

(OOC: General Davis finally losing the fight with sanity, got to love it!)

The nation of Xile is appreciative of the gracious move by Lamoni's government. We still stand by our decision to bomb the AOlympics, but still wish to offer our apologies and condolences to the inadvertent loss of life that came from it.

We hope this will be the beginning of a better relationship between the delegate seat of Lamoni, and our nation and believe it can be only beneficial for both parties.
