AOCAF16Pacitalia
True. Football. Passion.

Pacitalia is a land of deep history and culture, breathtaking natural beauty, outstanding culinary prowess, unmatchable national pride and progressive capitalist politics. In this free republic the hearts of five billion warm, welcoming people beat with passion for a sport and everything it stands for. Fair play. Competition. Athleticism. Excitement. Football's head may be in Starblaydia, its soul in Ariddia, but there is no question its heart is here. Football is inspiration. It runs in the veins of every single Pacitalian.

From the lush green rainforests and cerulean blue waters of the islands, to the rolling hills of the Beracantan wine country; from the sparkling mineral springs of the Serrada Pacitaliana, all the way to the vibrant worldliness of its cities, Pacitalia is a great hosting option for AOCAF tournaments. With multiple high-capacity stadia that are well-kept and easy to access and a volunteer spirit that helps make Pacitalia such an intriguing destination, plus a tremendous passion for football, there is no doubt Pacitalia will make an excellent host for AOCAF.

Format
If twenty-four squads sign up, there will be four groups of six with the top four from each group advancing to the round of sixteen. If twenty squads sign up, there will be four groups of five, with the top four from each group advancing to the round of sixteen.

If sixteen squads participate, there will be four groups of four with the top two squads from each advancing to the knockout phase. Because of the smaller number of participants, the knockouts would thusly operate with an aggregate structure based on two legs of play, wherein the team with more goals scored at the end of two matches advances to the next stage.

Alternatively, if twenty squads sign up, the FdFP may also do five groups of four, with the best eight overall squads regardless of group advancing to the knockouts.

Group draw and phase
The group draw will take place approximately seventy-two hours before the group phase of the tournament commences.

Each team will play each of its group opponents once during the group stage.

The tie breakers at the end of the group stage will be goal differential, followed by goals for.

Provisional list of qualified stadia
There are currently sixteen stadia in Pacitalia qualified to host a regional or international-level championship. Their inclusion here does not necessarily mean they will be on the final list of hosting stadia for AOCAF16, though it is a safe bet that most on the list will host matches.

Qualified stadia have a seating capacity of at least 50,000, are located in cities with more than one million people, and are easily accessible by multiple modes of transportation (air, sea, rail, road, bus, walking, biking, etc.).

Gameplay
All matches will be scorinated using the latest version of NSFootySim. Updated rankings will be used, with the corresponding point value used as the primary factor in scorination.

There will be forty-eight hours break between each scorination to allow greater RP opportunity.

RP bonus will also be in effect for AOCAF16. Players that post higher-quality RPs will receive a better bonus, players that post lower-quality RPs will receive a low bonus. Players that do not RP will not receive a bonus. The chance of a squad receiving a better RP bonus will improve with RPing consecutively (after each result is announced). Players that skip RPing on occasion will have lower probability of a maximised RP bonus. RP bonus will be calculated out of ten, then divided by two for input into the scorinator.

RP cutoff will take place usually one hour before scorination. At the very least, a player's most recent in-character post will be counted for the bonus, thus leaving the opportunity for multiple RP posts between matches. However, the limit for counted posts for RP bonuses will be two (2). Players may also choose to remark OOCly within a post that they prefer that post to be the one counted.
