Man that was so funny! :D I just voted Baz then saw he'd withdrawn.

I'm perfectly happy with the alternative though, so hopefully we can get the ball rolling soon.

Actually, both of them have withdrawn. There was a vote in May (I believe) to delay the next AOCAF until after World Cup 36, and... that... is... still... going... on (yawning as I type that). So, we now have an event with no host, and we can't have an event without a host.
If someone comes in and says 'hey! I'll host and let's just start AOCAF right now!,' they'll get a lambasting from the die-hard RPers that've already complained they don't have time and/or energy to write RPs for both events.

I think you'll find the die-hard RPers don't mind that situation. It never bothered me when the WC and AOCAF were run simultaneously. Its the people who don't want to RP both at once who'll complain.

All we need is a host, and updated rankings from Vil that would be easier to get from a statue.

How about we use a different ranking system (e.g., the KPB ranking system with the last three AOCAFs rather than the WC, CoH, and BoF), so that we don’t need Vil to update the rankings?

Because Vil wouldn't be #1 and Baz might be quite good?

Plus Lamoni, Pac, etc who dont have KPB ranks might never get to the top?

I think the idea (dunno if CH's edit was adding using AOCAF stats vs. WC) was to simply use the formula for a different ranking system.

As Scottfire said, I didn’t mean that the results of the World Cup would affect the AOCAF rankings, just that the same formula could be used.

They should affect the results. The KpBs should be the CoH or BoF and count as a lower rate. But they should count. They always have in the past. And IC it makes more sense to do so.
