Speaking for myself here, Baz, if you can get some AO ranks off CH then by all means host the tourney - whether you want to start it now/during WC40 Quals is up to you, though I'd always say the sooner the better.

Option 1... I can exclude Paci from the Tournament, he was the last to sign up

Option 2... I can be abit weird

4 x 4 groups (excluding me)

Top team in group progress to Semi's

Second Team in group advance to a second qualifying roun

3rd and 4th teams lose out.

Second round of Qualifying includes the 2nd group teams and me (a single 5 team group)

last place gets elimated from tournament all others progress. (Run normally from there)

I don't want to leave anyone out (Especially all of me) If I do take option 2 then how will that affect AOCAF rankings?

I'm not sure about the group winners getting a bye to the Semis, perhaps a more-standard Quarter-Final would be simpler and easier? It's not a make-or-break issue for me, but otherwise I'm all for it.

Sorry, I've been swamped with papers and didn't see the sign-up thread until now.

How about one group of 17, playing x round-robin matches, and only the top 8 advance?
