This election is a special one -not only will the winner become the first President of Krytenia, they will also decide the nation's new Constitution.

Here's your guide to the six runners:

JONATHAN DEREA - Krytenian Nationalist Party
Has promised to restore the status quo if he wins the election, right up to the restoration of the position of Chairman.

DOMINIQUE DOMASCA - Nationalist Democrats
Promises more democracy in local government, with the Presidency being a lifelong term.

GEORGE KARIDIS - Socialist Democrats
Highly left-wing, the SocDems want to create a socialist republic with restrictions on free enterprise.

ANDREA KAHN - Liberalist Alliance
Will bring a true democratic republic to the nation.

SARAH NEWCOMBE - Universal Democrats
The Universal Democrats want to abolish the notion of elected officials and have the public vote on all issues.

MARSHALL NWOKO - Antixilean National Front
The ANF have never forgiven Adonis Lauir - this extreme right-wing party believes the nation of Xile should be wiped off the map.

LATEST POLLS:
Derea (KNP) - 31.3%
Domasca (ND) - 29.6%
Kahn (LA) - 19.7%
Karidis (SD) - 9.8%
Newcombe (UD) - 9.3%
Nwoko (ANF) - 0.3%

OOC: The first ballot is tomorrow: if there is no absolute majority, the top 4 will go into a second ballot.

We wish Krytenia the best in going its way to democracy. Do you allow international observers to control the election ?

While we find it discomforting for the SocDems to show so poorly in this election (George Karidis (SD) - 188,355,339 - (7.9%) We wish Krytenia the best in their elections.

I call vote-rigging unless 600 million Krytenians randomly had a political brain fart and switched allegiances to Domasca wink.gif
