| Valanora Bid for AOCAF 47 With what do you intend to use? The board of trustees of the VFA and VSC have agreed to use to the hosting technology known as NSFS, version 3.0.1.A(CH modified version) with styles allowed to be ultra conservative (-5) to ultra attacking (+5) for all associations wishing to participate in the competition. How? The preferred format is to be of 4 groups of 4 to 6 depending upon which final number of competitors there are, though other formats will be considered per sign up numbers. They would participate in a single round robin, each team playing each other once in Valanora, with the group winners and runners up of each group advancing. Tiebreakers should teams finish on the same amount of points will be used in the following order: goal difference, head to head result, goals scored, games won, and then a playoff match if the tie has yet to be resolved. Incentive to participate? The association believes that participating in the tournament enriches the tournament and the nations involved in it and are ready to properly reward participation. Without revealing my methods, the rewards in my simulations have proven that those with consistent participation have their chances of success increase significantly over those who choose not to participate at all. A one time reward will also be given to all associations that provide the organizers a roster in which to provide the fans and other associations in their respective competition groups. You done this before? Valanora has a plethora of hosting experience, having hosted WCC events no less than seven times, as well as other major tournaments (such as the DBC and WCoH and a pair of previous AOCAFs). |

| 95X AOCAF Cup 47 Host Bid Since 95X (in)famously does not participate in the World Cup, the nation puts its best efforts into the AOCAF Cup. 95X has participated in the AOCAF Cup going back to the 18th edition, and continuously since the 33rd edition. With the rise of now-ageless forward Xi Foureleven, a domestic league currently ranked 16th by the UICA, and a small number of international signings, interest in soccer/association football is at the highest level in the nation's history. Scorinator and RP Bonus We propose using xkoranate, SQIS settings, with SQIS style modifiers, no home advantage. A third-party scorinator would be found for any 95X games after the Group Stage. Current AOCAF ranks will be used, and RP Bonus will be cumulatively added to the team skill, based on quality vs. quantity. Posting an on-time roster may give one an advantage later on (keep reading!). RPs related to the tournament may receive a higher bonus than RPs posted merely for the sake of posting something (i.e., information that could just as easily be placed in a wiki or factbook entry with no clear linkage to the competition), which may in fact receive no bonus. Format Matchdays/Cutoff To allow generous time for participation, matchdays will be scheduled every other RL day; i.e., Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Please note that matchdays will not be scheduled on Tuesdays. Cutoff would occur at 5 PM Pacific Daylight Time (GMT -7), which is also 00:00 UTC. Group Stage As it appears we will have 24 teams, we propose 8 groups of 3 teams each. This will result in two group stage games per team, thereby making each group stage game relevant. Playoffs/Tiebreakers The top two teams from each group will advance to the Round of 16. Ties will be handled in the following format: 1. Head-to-head result; 2. Paperwork submitted in a timely fashion (OOC: Was a roster posted before the MD 1 Cutoff?); 3. Overall Goal Differential; 4. Higher overall Goals For; 5. Lower overall Goals Against; 6. Video conference call with one representative from each team for a best-of-one Rock-Paper-Scissors (OOC: RP total bonus). The Round of 16 would be the first stage of a standard single-elimination tournament leading to the AOCAF Cup Final. A third-place match will be played. Venues The entire tournament would take place in 95X, at venues including but not limited to Cascadia Bank Stadium (100,000), Cascade Dome, the Lucky Businessperson Stadium in Pacific City, Oceanside Stadium II (40,000). 95X thanks you in advance for your consideration and appreciates any questions. |
